Setting the scene
The Scene aims to celebrate the multifaceted identities of South Asians and other ethnic minorities, inviting attendees into a space that appreciates their cultural heritage, as well as aims to give them the opportunity to learn about the amazing work in the wider community. We want to open a new horizon for interactive workshops, engaging performances, enlightening panel discussions, immersive exhibitions and so much more. We want to work with a variety of brands and venues to widen the scope of what’s possible for our community - and to encourage the feeling that we can belong anywhere.
Community
We believe that building a strong sense of community is crucial for fostering meaningful connections. The event provides a safe and welcoming environment for individuals to network, exchange ideas, and cultivate lasting friendships. It's an occasion to forge new bonds and strengthen existing ones, uniting people under a shared vision of acceptance and understanding…or a shared love for out of tune Desi Karaoke. It’s a judgment free zone.
Conversations
In addition to celebrating cultural heritage, س will host enlightening conversations through inspiring keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops led by figures from various fields. Attendees will gain valuable insights, empowering them to overcome challenges and contribute to positive change within their communities.

The scene is an invitation to everyone, regardless of their background or ethnicity, to come with an open heart and mind, ready to experience the richness of diversity. We believe that by celebrating brown joy, we not only create an atmosphere of love and acceptance but also contribute to the collective growth and progress of our society.
Fun
Whilst will be focusing on deeper conversations at times, we don’t want to lose focus of one of our key motivations to encourage people to just take it easy and have some fun. It’s not everyday carry the worries of the world on your back, so there'll be plenty of room for you to just have a good time.
